Wool Lyocell (TENCEL™ fabric)
Here you will find a mixture of 70% wool (merino wool, organic and mulesing-free) and 30% lyocell fibers (better known as Tencel, but this is actually the brand name and not the name of the fiber)
Wool Tencel mottled dark gray
At 200g/m^2, the mixture is slightly heavier and thicker than our wool/silk fabrics. The feel is reminiscent of a mixture of wool/silk fabrics and the soft, fluffy Cino wool jerseys from Danish Pur.
The lyocell fiber can be seen in the knit and has a slight glitter. In this version, the fabric is colored mottled.
Why Tencel? We have written a lot about this here.
combination and cuffs
Other wool Tencel fabrics from the range or wool/silk are suitable as a combination.
Wool/silk itself is very stretchy and can also be used as a cuff (with a small factor of 0.6, for example). If more support is required, for example at very stressed necklines (children tugging ;-) ) or as trouser cuffs, then the somewhat more stable wool jersey is also suitable as a cuff. We also have special wool cuff fabric for light fabrics .
design samples
We are also happy to show some design examples in the photos that were made available to us by enthusiastic customers. Thank you again for that!
The women's top is an unchanged Doro from Konfettipattern, sewn according to the size table. Note: The fabric used in the design example was a wool/lyocell fabric of the same basis weight and composition, but was quite a bit lighter, so the color in these photos appears slightly different. However, the pattern itself can be transferred exactly to this fabric.

Characteristics
Characteristics
Wool is naturally self-cleaning and antibacterial. It absorbs moisture without feeling clammy and transports it outwards, away from the body. Merino new wool is very finely crimped, does not scratch and is wonderfully soft and fluffy. Since woolen clothing rarely needs to be washed - brushing or airing it out is usually enough - the clothing is also very easy to care for.
care instructions
care instructions
Like wool garments, our Tencel/wool blend can be hand and machine washed. We recommend machine washing on a wool cycle up to a maximum of 30 degrees with liquid organic wool detergent or gentle hand washing with lukewarm water at most and without much friction. Clothing made from Tencel is wrinkle-resistant if it is taken out of the machine quickly after washing and dried wrinkle-free.
