Fabric from Danisch Pur

At Danish Pur, it is a matter of principle and conviction certified organic fabrics (kbt and kba) offered. The abbreviations kbt and kba stand for controlled organic animal husbandry and controlled organic cultivation. The criteria for this are set worldwide by IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) and apply "cradle to cradle," meaning from the rearing of the sheep/cultivation of the fields to the dyeing of the fabrics and delivery to our warehouse.

When it comes to hemp and linen fabrics, we strive to use only certified organic materials whenever possible. There are a few exceptions where we can't find an alternative or where small businesses cannot afford the certification process. In these cases, we always explicitly state the exceptions.

In addition to the animal welfare concept, the certification of the substances goes even further. Based on the entire value chain, the certification ensures that the materials are free of harmful substances and are manufactured based on biological and social criteria . We offer different fabrics for every phase of life and for every season. Many fabrics can be used all year round, such as wool/silk or pure hemp jersey, which is worn as a T-shirt in summer and as an undershirt in winter, other fabrics only develop their full effect under certain temperatures and conditions.
