Collection: boiled wool and loden

Boiled wool is a very dense and durable fabric, particularly suitable as a final layer for outdoor clothing. Because it is even highly water-repellent when treated with lanolin, it is an excellent alternative or complement to plastic rain pants or rain jackets. Our cozy boiled wool is much softer than conventional boiled wool, yet still durable and dense. Loden, unlike boiled wool, is based on a woven fabric. Therefore, the fabric does not stretch and must be finished before sewing.

For easy reference, we have also linked the matching wool braid and the lining fabric, which is often sewn together with boiled wool, in this category.
