The Walkkind is a sewing pattern for a dress or a vest made of boiled wool.
Anyone familiar with boiled wool will surely appreciate this beautiful material. It provides pleasant warmth, but just enough to prevent unpleasant sweating.
The pattern includes a pattern for a vest as well as a pattern for a dress.
You can cleverly sew the Walkkind with a facing in the upper area, turn up and hem the neckline and armholes, or sew them with raw edges; all variations are described in the instructions. The Walkkind has no sleeves and is usually worn over a long-sleeved or three-quarter-sleeved shirt.
The dress ends a little above the knee and can be lengthened or shortened as desired. The vest length is the same as a regular sweater length. You can sew the back of the vest either straight or with a slight curve.
The pattern is designed for boiled wool, but boiled wool, firm cotton jacquard and fleece are also suitable.
