Shirt Lady Silk

Lady Silk is a fitted shirt by Mialuna, which is made of wool/silk jersey.

Jerseys made from cotton, modal, tencel, linen or bamboo are not suitable as they do not have the same stretch as wool/silk jersey. Most wool jerseys are also firmer and are not suitable here, especially since the arm cap would be too small for these fabrics.
The shirt can be sewn with short, long, ¾, or ¾ sleeves with a long cuff.

difficulty level

Thanks to the detailed and illustrated instructions, the pattern is also suitable for advanced beginners. There is always active help in the Danish Pur Wool/Silk group on Facebook.

Shipment

The pattern is a digital item that is available for download after receipt of payment by email and in the customer account. The pattern is available in A0 and A4.

It is a pattern and sewing instructions as pdf files in a zip folder to print out and glue together, NO paper pattern.

To open the file you need Adobe Reader or another program to open and read PDF files, as well as a program to open zip folders.

Nice shirt

The shirt is a nice basic part. I sew it in two different sizes. The smaller one when I sew the shirt to wear underneath and the larger one for a normal shirt.
I find the length of the shirt too long - unless you always tuck the shirt into your pants/skirt. I'm not particularly small and just leave out the hem allowance.
But what bothers me is the rather small arm ball. This seems to be a problem for several women. I at least had to adjust here and slightly enlarge the arm ball.

Basic shirt made of WS

I sewed the shirt and I am very happy that it is designed for WS. However, I find the arm ball quite narrow and it doesn't fit perfectly for me with broad shoulders and upper arms. Certainly a great basic cut for many women, but unfortunately not ideal for me. I can, however, recommend the Lady Silk Top. :)

Basic cut for wool silk

Should not be missing from any lady who likes to sew WS. I now own several shirts there and have already sewn some. I think the SM is very worthwhile even if you already have the Lady Silk Top.

Fits perfectly

I've been looking for a pattern for myself for a long time and have tried many things, but the Lady Silk just fits so much better! Almost perfect!
