Fabric samples
Internet images and descriptions are only partially suitable for conveying a sense of texture and color. Nothing beats holding the fabric in your hand and feeling the fabric sample against your skin.
Shipment
The fabric samples are the only items we ship by letter . Please be sure to provide an address at checkout.
Selection
We'll send you an A4 sheet with selected fabrics and colors as examples. If you have a specific color request, you can also add it as a note in your order. (This is possible in the comment field during the final step of payment. If you can't find the comment field (this has happened occasionally), please send us an email afterwards with your requests.)
Some of the fabrics shown are no longer available in the shop; this is purely about the feel and explanation of how a type of fabric feels (see photo).
Fabric samples with an order
With a regular order, you are always welcome to request free , loose fabric samples. To make things easier for us, please specify your preferences for colors and fabrics ( feel free to request multiple options! ) so we know exactly what you're interested in. You do NOT need to include the fabric sample sheet or loose fabric samples in your order; simply write in the comments which fabrics you would like to see and feel.
If you are unsure whether you recognize the fabrics, you can also ask us to add the names - normally we assume that you know the fabrics and fabric types and just want to take a closer look at the color and feel.
Mulesing Free
All of our wool/silk fabrics are mulesing-free. This means that "our" woolly sheep do not remove the skin around the tail without anesthesia to prevent pest infestation. This procedure has been sharply criticized by animal protection organizations. As a matter of principle, we only offer guaranteed mulesing-free wool/silk fabrics.

To the patterns...we also offer patterns? They are specifically designed for wool/silk and other wool fabrics, as wool fabrics behave slightly differently than other jersey fabrics, which is what most competitor patterns are designed for. With our patterns you can be sure that everything fits together well.
