Wool woven herringbone pebble grey
A new and exciting pure wool weave at Danisch Pur - 100% wool (kbt, merino, as always mulesing-free)
Wonderfully suitable, as it is buttery soft, for hats, shirts/blouses or jackets (outside or as an inner lining), for dresses, shorts and jumpsuits, designed for woven fabrics.
combination and cuffs
Other woven fabrics such as the wool herringbone night sky or pure hemp navy or nougat from our range are suitable as a combination.
Since the fabric is a bit heavier, we recommend the heavy rib in the tube as a cuff fabric for a good hold.
design samples
We are also happy to show some design examples in the photos that were made available to us by enthusiastic customers. Thank you again for that!
We try to keep the links up-to-date, but links will sometimes go nowhere if the relevant fabrics are sold out in the meantime. Since we have a constantly changing range, this unfortunately cannot be ruled out. So if the link goes nowhere, the substance is currently not purchasable. But don't worry: popular fabrics keep coming back.
The baseball cap Happy by Kullaloo was sewn here as headgear.
The trousers were sewn in Bermuda length according to the pattern "Wild Möhre" by FIrlefanz . The Wenndeshirt Levi&Leni by Rosa sews and Danisch Pur made of wool/silk world trip in arctic blue, the matching plain and cheerful stripes were combined.

Woven wool
Woven wool
Woven fabric does not stretch and tends to be denser and more robust than knit fabric. Our wool fabric is woven from merino extrafine wool and is wonderfully soft and pleasant to the touch.
Characteristics
Characteristics
Wool is naturally self-cleaning and antibacterial. It absorbs moisture without feeling clammy and transports it outwards, away from the body. Merino new wool is very finely crimped, does not scratch and is wonderfully soft and fluffy.
Robustness (especially for children's clothing)
Robustness (especially for children's clothing)
Since wool is generally not completely abrasion-resistant and reaches its limits in heavily stressed areas (such as knees or buttocks), we recommend reinforcing precisely these areas when using longer pants - for example with boiled wool patches.
feel
feel
The fabric is smooth and buttery soft, so I highly recommend it as a first layer. The soft merino wool makes it pleasantly cuddly. It is knitted thinly and is therefore easy to sew. It is not stretchable, which is why patterns should be specially designed for woven fabrics.
care instructions
care instructions
Like other wool garments, the woven fabric can be hand and machine washed. We recommend machine washing on a wool cycle up to a maximum of 30 degrees. Can shrink up to 5% depending on the washing temperature.
The fabric should be washed once individually when pre-washing so that it does not rub off. Later, it is best to wash them together with similar colors.
care: Wool is very undemanding. It is also sufficient if it is aired more than washed, but it easily withstands normal wool washing.
sewing instructions
sewing instructions
As a woven fabric, the sewing here is different than with our soft, stretchy wool knit fabrics. We recommend universal needles and finishing the raw edges. When sewing together after overcasting, for example, the straight stitch is a good idea. Two seams at a parallel distance or the triple straight stitch with subsequent topstitching of the (trimmed) seam allowances are also welcome at stressed areas such as the inseam.
