Chunky knit

The yarn is pure, high-quality virgin wool from the Shetland Islands.

It is spun in Tyrol, in an old family business that still has machines that can handle this yarn - such machines are no longer manufactured and we are very happy that there is still a spinning mill that masters the old craft.

The special color is created exclusively by sorting the undyed wool, without additional dyeing – for a natural, vibrant play of colors.

Pre-wash

The knitwear should definitely be pre-washed, as it shrank by a good 15% in our tests. After washing, carefully pull it into shape (always lengthwise, not or only minimally widthwise) and ideally dry it flat.

Combination, cuffs and yarn

This fabric is so special and different from our other fabrics that we can't recommend a different ribbing for it. As in the design example, we suggest using the fabric itself as the finishing touch.

Of course, it can be well lined, for example with a hood made of wool jersey or wool-silk.

We recommend the yarn color taupe/peanut . It is slightly lighter than the fabric, but of all the colors, it blends in best with the natural color variations.

Katharina sewed a warm pullover vest, "Frau Ulli," from Studio Schnittreif . The seams were reinforced with our stretch seam tape and sewn with an overlock machine.
